How can i identify silver nitrate just by using NaOH and Aluminium?

Suppose you had a beaker of silver nitrate and a beaker of water, and you want to identify which one has the silver ions present? When you add NaOH to a solution of silver ions it will precipitate AgOH, which will be brown, and that in itself would distinguish between a solution of silver nitrate and water. Or you can add a piece of aluminum foil to the solution of silver ions and silver will begin to plate out on the aluminum because of a redox reaction between aluminum metal and silver ions. I believe the NaOH and Al could be used as two different tests, not be used in the same test.
