How can i help save the giant panda?
Pandas are endangered because Chineese humans are exploiting the Panda’s habitat for natural resources. The humans are doing this because another group of humans have enabled the Chineese humans to “westernize” their economony. Western living is extremely hard on the natural environment. Ordinarily the solution would be to simply stop enabling the Chineese humans to westernize by not buying anything made in China. Fortunately for the humans and the Pandas this is not necessary. Because western capitalism is based on the idea of the value of things, Pandas are seen as very valuable animals and the Chineese humans have successfully begun to actually “ranch” Pandas to sell to zoos. The only unfortunate aspect of this is that the Panda’s life in the wild is over and this species is now wholly dependent on humans for its survival. Panda “parks” would be economically impractical because unlike deer, Pandas are solitary animals and sleep most of the time in dense cover. Tourists in a well sto
