Encourage your child to complete homework on time and thoroughly, getting help if it is available. You can always communicate through your child’s maths book which the teacher will read, either when shown, or when they mark the book. Feel free to ask whether homework has been set or anything else you wish to know. If you child tells you they have no homework, feel free to check via their exercise book. If they have the time we suggest the following: Logon to www.mymaths.co.uk and try some tutorials, a worksheet or a maths game. This is an excellent website to which CBEC subscribe. Your child can state the level or grade at which they are working and find appropriate problems targeted to their ability.
