How can I help an alcoholic friend?
You can’t help your friend until he admits he has a problem, seriously he cannot be helped until he is willing to recieve the help. Addicts tend to just curl up into their own little world and deny there is any problem, so there is no point actually telling him about it because he probably already knows the situation but just isn’t willing to accept it. For someone to get off drink, they need to do it for themselves, they need to hit rock bottom before they realise they need help. Just be there for him and be ready to point him in the right direction when he is ready for it, go online and research this horrible disease so that you can better understand what your friend is going through.
