How can I have the license server daemon (lmgrd) start automatically when the machine is rebooted?

The lmgrd log files and lock files are written by the user who starts lmgrd, and some of these files may be written to the $SCHRODINGER directory. Even when specifying an alternate log file (by using the -l switch with the license server startup command): $SCHRODINGER/licadmin SERVERUP -l path-to-logfilelmgrd.log a default log file named lmgrd.log is still created in the $SCHRODINGER directory.
