How can i grow tomatoes i have no luck?
Here are a couple of suggestions to help you get started. First, if you are trying to grow them in pots, make sure you have at least twice as much room for the plant as you would think you need. The better the root system, the stronger the plant. Second, take your soil and mix it with about 30 percent manure. Tomatoes love manure and will produce much more fruit if you keep the nitrogen content of the soil high. Third, keep the soil at a consistent level of moisture. If you water the soil unevenly (that is sometimes it wet and sometimes it’s dry) your tomatoes will split and the plants may not grow as well. You can keep the soil consistently saturated by burying some 2 liter bottles in the soil. Cut off the top of the bottle and poke some small pin holes near the bottom of the bottle. When you water, just fill up the bottles and let them drain into the soil. When the bottle gets low, refill it. Don’t put too many holes in the bottle or the soil will stay too moist.
