How can I grow melons in the uk?
I have bought the best F1 seeds before but the 2 melons i got were very small and to be honest it would have been cheaper to buy a couple of melons from the supermarket at £2.50 for the seeds. Our summers are just not long and hot enough in the UK i don`t think. Unless you start them early in a heated greenhouse but my Dad has done that and they still were the size of oranges. Try anyway. Keep it in a very warm, light place and just use growmore or tomato fertilizer. They need tying up canes as they grow, just like cucumber plants and apart from watering every day that`s all you can do.
