The recommended settings have been set as the default in Quark’s Print Styles. Primarily, the following is recommended: For spot color, use the default Pantone spot color name in all applications. The color printers use a calibration process that is keyed to these standard names. If you change the spot color names in your applications, the color will probably not calibrate and print out as close as expected. For process color, the Quark’s Output Tab has the “Composite RGB” setting selected. This has been determined to output process color very closely to desired settings. (note: If your colors were created on the monitor as opposed to a scan, variations in your monitor settings will cause fluctuations in expected color output.) For process color scanned images, follow recommended settings in scanning full color photos or art in the “SCANNING RECOMMENDATIONS” document.
