How can i get rid of this nasal congestion?
It sounds like you’ve developed a sinus infection. They can cause a lot of sinus congestion and pain (including pain in your gums and even ears) and are commonly developed after a cold. An antihistamine will not help. They only help with allergy symptoms and not with infections or illnesses. A sinus infection is hard to get rid of without antibiotics, so I would suggest visiting your Dr. I believe sinus infections are not usually contagious, so you should be fine going to the party this weekend, but might still feel congested until you get on antibiotics to clear up the infection.
