How can i get rid of cradle cap on my infant?
I was told by my doctor to NEVER put oil on cradle cap. My sister tried it once and regretted it. The doctor himself told me to “scrub his head like a potato” at every bath using the little, plastic, soft-bristled brush I got from the hospital and a mild baby shampoo. It was amazing how fast it cleared up. Not long after I saw a baby in a church nursery – it was horribly caked and gunked all over his head. I asked the mom what she had been trying for it and she had been putting oil on it. Glad I avoided that.
My son had this and I got rid of it the first time I tried. My husband has one of those palm held plastic comb things (I dunno only him and my grandfather I saw ever had one) anyway, I put my son in the bath and just was brushing it back and forth on his head gently. Then I washed it with head and shoulders and did the comb some more. I got it all and it never came back.
