How can I get rid of aphids on my indoor herbs?

You can get SAFER brand insecticidal soap. It is organic, environmentally sound and safe for food plants. Another really easy thing to do is simply mix a little bit of liquid dish soap with water in a spray bottle and spray the aphids off. Even plain water will work if you do it every day. Try to remove the aphids by spraying over a container or sink then dumping the container outside or washing the bugs down the drain. Another trick is to feed your plants a little cold coffee. The caffeine discourages aphids but won’t be a high enough concentration to affect you. The coffee won’t flavor your herbs either. This trick is great for acid loving plants like roses, so if your herbs aren’t acid-loving, go easy until you see how they react.
