Prior to Solaris 2.4, the OS didn’t do the bookkeeping necessary to obtain these values. In Solaris 2.4 the code was added to kernel and /usr/ucb/ps can now show these values. Under Solaris 2.3 and earlier your only recourse is using the public domain utility top (See 2.3).
