How can I get my own handmade and designed greeting cards in stores?
If you are really hand making each card, then making a realistic amount of money is pretty hopeless and the only place you will be able to sell them will be in boutique settings such as upscale clothing, jewelry and knickknack stores. If you are doing some form of limited mass production – like your own silk screening or getting quality printing – then you have a chance of putting packages or displays in to stores that want a middling priced product. The alternative is to present designs to companies that will print and distribute the cards to their regular customer, either buying the design or paying a royalty.
