The mouse wheel will work in CrossOver if it works in other X applications, such as Mozilla or X-Chat. If you have a mouse with a mouse wheel and use XFree86 4.x, you can enable it by editing /etc/X11/XF86Config and adding the following lines in the InputDevice section.
