How Can I Get My Lexmark X73 Printer To Work?
I actually have this printer. It has served me very well. For a four year old printer it even has a Vista driver. I’m sad my folks had to trade me for it since theirs did not run with Vista. First of all if you are using discount ink cartridges try Lexmark brand cartridges. Re-used ones are generally a crap shoot. If you have not, uninstall and reinstall your printer. Download the latest driver off of the Lexmark website. Just remember to reinstall before plugging your printer back in. Run an clean the ink cartridges. They are new, but Lexmark ink likes to dry up. Use some rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab and clean the metallic parts. If none of these work, its probably time for a new printer. If you plan on doing a considerable amount of printing you may consider buying a laser printer rather than an ink jet. They cost more but if you will be doing a lot of printing it will save you money in the long run.
