How can i get my 14 month old baby to sleep all night?
ROUTINE! I have had my daughter on the exact same routine since I figured out that routine is the best. I now have a sleep schedule since she is 17 months. If we go off of her schedule, she is up in the middle of the night and she does not sleep well. I start getting her ready for bed at 7:30, then I sit in the rocking chair in her bedroom and I sing to her then I just rock her for a little bit and at 8 I put her in her crib and close the door and she is usually out instantly. Also, try making sure he gets a nap during the day, but that it is not too close to bed time. My daughter only takes one nap from 11:30 till about 2 daily. Good luck!
some day time tricks that help with night time sleeping: – Fresh air. The more time he spends outside in the fresh air, the better he’ll sleep at night. Even if he’s sitting in a pram while you go for a walk, or if he’s sitting on your lap reading a story, there is something about fresh air that makes them sleep for longer at night time. So get him outside as much as you can! Especially in the afternoon. – Exercise. Make play time high-energy for at least one burst a day. Be it running around, making music, “helping” with cleaning the house, playing chasey, throwing balls, going the park, going swimming etc. If he has one good seriously exhausting play a day it helps them sleep longer at night as they don’t have energy waiting to be burned up. – low GI dinner time. Offering a whole grain, vegetables and meat dinner is a good way to help him feel full for longer. Offering food with high GI means his body will process it faster, giving him an energy boost while he’s trying to stay asleep
