The Community Development Department can direct you to information regarding appropriate color choices, and historic materials and designs. The CDD office in City Hall has a book of approved paint colors for use in the Historic Districts. The Fernandina Beach Library on N. 4th Street also has a selection of books on historic preservation donated by the local Restoration Foundation.
