How can I get harassing creditors to stop calling?
They are violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act specifically this clause: “(5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number.” You send them a cease and desist letter but this doesn’t make your debt go away it just makes it unlawful for them to contact you anymore.
