How can I get Device Manager to install Pioneer driver instead of windows driver?

It’s possible that in the past you set Windows to automatically search for and install drivers on its own. If that’s the case, then it doesn’t really matter what you do concerning those drivers. See if you can go through the Device Manager and delete whatever driver it installed for your DVD drive. Then, go to the manufacturer of your drive’s website and get their drivers for your drive and manually install them when they are finished downloading. Then you should be good to go. I try to stay away from letting Windows do drivers on its own, because it either doesn’t find anything or gets the wrong sometimes. It’s best just to go straight to the manufacturer’s website and download the drivers yourself.
