To get onto Disney Channel you need a GOOD agent with all the right contacts and in order to get an agent you need a RESUME WITH WORK ON IT in order for them to even begin to consider representing you. And no, school plays and the drama club do not count as real experience. Most of the Disney Channel stars have been acting for years since they were tiny – building up their resume, taking classes, taking part in community theatre, etc. They didn’t just wake up one morning and decide they wanted to be on Disney Channel and just got the role just like that. It just doesn’t work like that. They all had to work extremely hard for years to get it. And not to mention the fact (like what the answer above me said), since you are a minor, legally your parents would have to make all this happen for you. If they don’t support you, then it ain’t going to happen. And honestly, if you just want to be on Disney as you put it, then acting is NOT the career for you. Disney channel stars and celebrities

Hilary Duff didnt have an impressive resume at all when she got casted for Lizzie McGuire. Her sister was the one getting commercials and stuff like that. When she got a role she got kicked off of it and thought about moving back home and giving up acting in general. Then she said the last audition she would go to before giving up was the one her mom wanted her to try which was Lizzie. She didnt have much acting experience and had an acting coach on set with her when she got that role so its not like you need to have years of experience to get a part. You have to look the part which can really suck because there isnt much you can do about it. You either do or you dont. What Hilary had that allowed her to make it was perseverence which means she didnt give up. Every day she woke up and went to audition after audtion and they all tu

Roles for parts on shows that appear on Nick or Disney are cast out of NYC or LA. and the actors who get sent in for those roles are professionals whose parents have made the ultimate sacrifice to push them in these child actor careers. That means the family or at least one parent moving to LA or NY to pursue the industry.
