When they get ready to go out, be ready with a zip-lock bag and some medical tape. Tape it to the dog in the operative area, and let the dog out. Stay with the dog, so they don’t tear it off. When the dog is done, collect the baggie. Good luck.

It’s easiest first thing in the morning, when you know your dog has to go bad. Follow them out and be ready with your gloves and a decent size rectangular tupperware container. A jam jar may be too small to catch much.

I have a friend that has to collect her dogs urine on a fairly regular basis. She uses a saucer or small plate. It would probably depend on the size of the dog depending on the size of container you can catch it in. Just follow the girls around until they squat and be ready to catch. Be careful don’t spill!

if the vet needs a sample he should get it himself as far as I’m concerned. It can be done with a little sedation and a catheter. Its not supposed to be painful (maybe a bit uncomfortable) but lol I know I wont want to chase a dog around trying to catch its pee, despite if its a boy or a girl lol GOOD LUCK!!!

Early morning when you know she has to, has to go for sure. Take her outside and soon as she starts squating pick her up and put her over a tray. Once she starts she will not stop till she is finished. It might not work if she is a big dog, but with small dogs this should work.
