This is where you will spend time determining the look you want. Study magazines and look at design books. Visit model homes (those decorated by a builder in a new housing tract.) You’ll find lots of ideas, but whether you can pull it together yourself or you hire out will depend on your level of expertise. If you don’t trust yourself, hire out before you make some costly mistakes—you may find this a wiser route.
