How can I get a genune product key for my windows xp pro with sp2?
Unfortunately when you buy a copy of windows xp from microsoft you are paying for the cd and the licence allowing you use of the product. If it was sold without the key then the seller (or whoever has the cdkey) still owns the licence to the product so effectively you have bought the files which comprise xp but not a license to run it. This product would be useful for someone who had lost their xp pro cd but, as far as i know, you will not be able to obtain a cd key. You could always phone Microsoft and see what they say.
