How can I get a a job without any prior work experience?
First off sounds like your young. Most employers don’t expect everyone to have prior experience they understand when its your first job. To work at the local grocery store don’t send a resume, walk in and fill out an application or do one online. They only look for resumes from people looking for department head job or manager. With that said, you have prior experience. Helping your parents in their business is a job, you just don’t get paid. Write down the name of their company, and list what you do for them. If the new business asks if your related to them of course say yes, it’s a family business and I helped out my parents, but I am looking for a paying job at this time. Also, list the companies you have volunteered for just as you would any other job, again in the pay section put “0” in the comments section you can put volunteer work.
