You can, however, generate final manuscripts and bibliographies using the following workaround: Save your manuscript in Office 97/Word 8 as an RTF file (select “Rich text format [*.rtf]” in the Save As dialog box). In Reference Manager, change your word processor in the Output Settings dialog box to ASCII Text. Change the Citation Delimiters in the Output Settings dialog box to \{ and \} (if you are not using curly brackets, insert a back slash in front of both the Start and End delimiters). Generate your manuscript and bibliography. The resulting bibliography will be in ASCII text format; if your journal format includes any special text formatting characteristics (such as italics for the journal name), you will need to manually edit your bibliography using your word processor.
