How can I fix PS2 display problem in PAL mode?

The display in PS2 games while being run in PAL mode is cut from right & bottom portion of the scree i.e the whole picture is shrunk and black stripes(about an inch wide) appear at the bottom & right.This problem is only for PS2 games and DVD movie playback is absolutely fine.Games do run well in NTSC mode but most of the games available here are of PAL mode.How can I fix it?Please help me….as soon as possible!!!
