How can I fix my Simpson Maxidry 457 Clothes dryer?

Hi, I have a Simpson Maxidry 457 clothes dryer. It starts and runs about half the cycle and then just stops. It seems to overheat and after a period of up to 1/2 an hour more sometimes starts up again and continues. We have had it from new and always clean the lint filter out after every load.
