How can I fix incorrect video display size and aspect ratio?
Windows Media Player Version 9 running in Windows XP may display the video streams in the wrong video size and aspect ratio. This problem is caused by the DirectShow Video Mixing Renderer. Follow these steps to turn off the DirectShow Video Mixing Renderer in Windows Media Player Version 9: • Start Windows Media Player Version 9. • Click Tools in the menu bar. • Select Options from the Tools menu. • Click the Performance tab. • Click the Advanced button in the “Video acceleration” box. • Uncheck the “Use video mixing renderer” checkbox in the “Video acceleration” box. • Click the OK button.
