How can I find out the % pass-mark for 11 plus Grammar school tests?

The tests are marked out of 140, the pass mark in my area this year was 117 on each test. One school in our area combined the three tests and you had to have a combined score of 415 out of 420. Ask your primary school headteacher about pass marks. Ring the school that you want your son to go to and talk to them, or go to their open evening and ask them what the pass marks are. Find out your sons NFER scores and SATS results and tell them to the school and they will tell you from those if they think he hasa chance. My sons NFER scores were 113 119 and 126 but in the 11+ he got 137 132 and 126. You need to practice for the 11+ to get them used to the layout of the papers because it is unlike anything they do in school.
