How can I find out if my clearance is active, re-instatable or expired?
We have heard that if a person is still in access of classified data and/or working in a skiff, their clearance is most likely to be Active. We hear that if it has been less than 2 years since the date of last use of the clearance, that the security clearance is likely to be Re-instatable, as long as there has been no material change to your circumstances (e.g. No recent convictions, bankruptsies, drug use, suspicious meetings with U.S. Enemies, etc.). We heard that if it has been more than 2 years since the date of last use, the clearance is most likely expired.
