How can I file a complaint with The Law Enforcement Review Agency?

0

You can file a complaint directly with the Law Enforcement Review Agency at 420-155 Carlton Street. Complaints also can be made in writing to a shift supervisor at any Winnipeg Police Service Center. These complaints are forwarded to LERA. A complaint must be submitted within 30 days of the incident. The Commissioner may extend that limit if you have valid reasons for being unable to submit your complaint on time. The Commissioner also may extend the 30-day filing limit to avoid conflict with court proceedings or ongoing criminal investigations involving your complaint.
