I was 40 pounds until 7th grade. Some of us are just small. As long as she is healthy and eating I wouldn’t be worried. Ask the doctor if she is okay and take it from there. I am not sure how a 1 year old can be hyperactive and if a doctor told you that dont listent o them. At age 1, they are on the go all the time. It is healthy for them. They are taking it all in and learning so much. Take andvantage of the energy level. This is where they will sit with you and play little games and learn so much. Enjoy, it goes by way to fast.

If she is underweight, make sure you keep in close contact with your pediatrician. Keep records of what you do feed her and measure everything. You might be feeding her less than you think, and this is a good way to check. Also, make sure you talk to your pediatrician about food allergies, in case her low weight is due to feeding her food she cannot process. One of the best foods for a 1 year old is milk. If she tolerates milk, use whole milk and make sure she has it available to drink often. Rather than focusing on desserts/sugar, try adding calories by putting olive oil on her vegetables, giving her salad dressing or bean dip to dip her snack foods in, and giving her plenty of high-calorie healthier foods like avocado, banana, egg, ham or beef, sweet potatoes and cheese. Make sure that she has a calm environment (minimal noise, activity etc) for eating. Sit with her, rather than hopping up to do other things. Show her that we sit during our meals and do not get up until we’re finishe

Hi, some people are naturely slim and/ or hyperactive so talk with your doctor. But babies and toddlers need more fat in their diets than we adults so using full fat milks and cheeses are important. Various oils (olive, flax, hemp, etc.) added to her food will provide the healthy omega fats as well which in some instances may lesson hyperactivity. Lots of veggies, whole grains, and fruits are sooo important too. Something else worse than too much sugar which may trigger hyperactivity are chemical food additives such as preservatives, artificial colors, artificial sugars, and artificial flavors. So if you are feeding your daughter anything that is not specifically marketed to babies or don’t buy food labeled either 100% organic or 100% natural, you must read all the labels on the foods you feed her. Sounds tough but you’ll get used to it. Good luck!
