How can I extend the range of my Netgear DG834G?
There are two ways of extending the range of your DG834G Wireless Modem Router. The first would be the Netgear WGXB102 Wall-Plugged Range Extender Kit which uses Powerline technology to give you wireless access through your electricals (see powerline glossary term). Devolo also produce a competitive product. The second has just become a possibility due to a firmware upgrade enabling WDS (Wireless Distribution System) on the DG834G, which allows you to create a mesh of wireless routers and access points (Netgear WG602) to cover your area.
