How can I experience a stimulus that is below 20 Hz since that is below the limit for human hearing?
Binaural beats can allow us to experience extremely low brain frequencies that may not have otherwise been possible. Human beings cannot hear a stimulus that is below 20 Hz. With binaural beats two different frequencies are presented to each individual ear. The brain then creates a third frequency that will be the difference between the two presented. In this way we can manipulate the brain to create an extremely low frequency in order for us to experience the beneficial results that go along with that frequency.
