The Quaker Oats Company acquired Stokely-Van Camp in 1983 and sold everything except for the pork and beans business and Gatorade. After the merger of PepsiCo and Quaker Oats in 2001, shares of Stokely-Van Camp were exchanged into PepsiCo stock.
