How can I enroll my spouse/domestic partner and/or dependent child(ren)?
If you are enrolled in a UNC System-Wide Student Health Insurance Plan, coverage for your spouse/domestic partner and/or dependent child(ren) may be purchased. You must enroll them online at www.studentinsurance.com during the Open Enrollment period. You should click on Voluntary Enrollment on your school’s page and complete the student information form to enroll yourself in the UNC System-Wide Student Health Insurance Voluntary Plan and then click the proper links to add your dependents. Payment for students and/or dependents placed on a UNC System-Wide Student Health Insurance Plan will be due at the time of the enrollment. A dependent may become eligible or coverage under the UNC System-Wide Student Health Insurance Voluntary Plan only when the student becomes eligible within the Open Enrollment period or within 31 days of a Qualifying Event.
