How can I encode Audio CDs or WAV files to MP3?
There are several applications that can rip Audio CDs, or encode WAVs into MP3 files. Only two applications will be discussed: Audio Catalyst and Exact Audio Copy. Audio Catalyst Audio Catalyst is a software bundle that comes with Audio Grabber and XingMP3 Encoder. Audio Catalyst was designed for quick and easy CD ripping. However, it does not provide advanced CD ripping features like Exact Audio Copy does. Encoding Audio CDs Run Audio Catalyst, and select the tracks you want to encode. Click on the MP3 button and you will see the XingMP3 Encoder Settings dialog box (see Figure 3.0).
