How can I enable audio recording when shooting still images?
To record sound while shooting still images, set the mode dial to any still-image shooting mode except AUTO or GUIDE, and then press the MENU button. CAMERA MENU will be selected by default. Press the OK/FUNC button to access the Camera menu. Use the Up or Down arrows on the pad to navigate to the microphone icon, and then press the Right arrow to advance to the next screen. Use the Up or Down arrow to select ON, and then press OK/FUNC again. Press the MENU button twice to exit the menus. When the audio recording function is enabled, the camera will capture four seconds of sound beginning about .5 seconds after the shutter button is released. The LCD monitor will display a progress bar and the word Busy while the sound is added to the image file. For best reception, point the cameras microphone toward the sound source.
