How can I disable unwanted programs that load during bootup?
Windows XP includes a very useful utility called the “System Configuration Editor”. To open the utility, click on the “Start” button and then click on “Run”. Type in “msconfig” and then click “OK”. Click on the “Startup” tag to view the list of programs which load each time your system boots. You can eliminate any of these by removing the check mark from its box.
