By default, the SP-510 UZ does not record audio in still-image shooting modes. However, if audio recording has been enabled, you can disable it by doing the following: Turn the mode dial to any still-image shooting mode except AUTO or GUIDE, and then press the MENU button. By default, CAMERA MENU will be selected. Press the OK/FUNC button to access the Camera Menu. Use the Down arrow to navigate to and select the microphone icon, and then press the Right Arrow on the arrow pad. Use the Up or Down arrow to select OFF. Press OK/FUNC to activate the setting. When audio recording is enabled, the camera displays a microphone icon in the lower right of the monitor. When audio recording is disabled, the icon is not present.
