Moth balls are a great way to deter many different types of animals from getting into your flowerbed. If you do not like the idea of using chemicals like moth balls there are several products on the market that will also help with this problem. I had a problem with my dog getting into my garden this year and I used a motion activated type of sprinkler that would let out a loud noise, along with a rapid shot of water. It worked very well for me and I recommend it to anyone that has issues with animals in the garden. The one I have is called “the scarecrow” and it attaches to a garden hose.
