Researchers in the UK have identified a new genetic variation called BNC2 that raises a woman’s risk of developing ovarian cancer. Your risk increases significantly if BNC2 is paired with previously identified genes of BRCA1 and BRCA2. Ovarian cancer is largely determined by genetic variants present in women. Women with these mutations should remove early tumors as a precaution.
