How can i cure a burn mark?
If you have darker skin or olive-toned skin you might be looking at a dark mark on your cheek for months. Whatever they tell you, don’t put butter or cocoa butter on it while it’s a scab, blister or open wound. These things create a perfect surface for bacteria to breed and you’ll get an infection. Pour cold water on it if it stings. Ice is not a good idea. What you want this thing to do is to dry out so it can start healing. Once it dries put some Neosporin on it and cover it with a band-aid. If you don’t want to go out with a band-aid on your face put the Neosporin and band-aid on at bedtime. Cocoa butter, while not good on a scab, is good when it’s a scar to make it fade. Your dermatologist can also prescribe you some lightening cream if it’s a dark mark. This is not usually covered by insurance and it costs a pretty penny. And remember to wash your face every day. Marks tend to not last as long on a face that gets regular washing.
