How can I create a trace file (*tra) with more than 2047 CAN messages ?
In the Receive Client, there is the menu item ´Trace´. With this function it is possible to open existing trace files for viewing their contents and to convert trace files from binary to ASCII format. Furthermore this function can also be used to store the actual content of the Receive Client window in scroll mode into a trace file. Since the history of the Receive Client keeps only a maximum of 2047 CAN messages, the maximum number of CAN messages in the trace file created with this function is 2047. The real trace control function is provided by the Control Panel. It allows to store CAN messages in a trace file with a size of up to 512 Mbytes.
