How can I create a form in Word where other employees can fill in the blanks but won be able to change the original typing?
A. What you want to create is called a “Fill in form” and it’s not too complicated. You need to make sure that you have your FORMS TOOLBAR showing. Click on View and select Toolbars and make sure that Forms has a check mark. Then create a template by going under File and select New and then Template. If you want the form to have the create date of every new form based on it then insert, field, date, and time. Now, on the right hand column choose CreateDate. Now at the bottom click Options and chose how you want your date to look. Click Add to Field, ok, ok. Type your first line, for example- Employee name: Now space over and then click on the “Insert Form Field Icon” (|ab|) on your toolbar. Now complete your form and every time you need someone to fill in information, simply insert more form fields.
