How can I convert an Initial Professional Student Support Certificate to a Professional Student Support Certificate valid for five years?
Applicants are eligible to convert to a Professional Teaching Certificate valid for five years provided he/she meets the following requirements: 1) hold an Initial Professional Teaching Certificate; 2) meets the renewal requirements for that certificate; 3) successfully completes two years of educational experience within one or a combination of the endorsements listed on the certificate being considered for conversion (one year of which must in WV); 4) receives the recommendation of the superintendent for whom the educator is employed or last taught; 5) submit the application Form 4 available at http://wvde.state.wv.us/certification/forms/Form04.
