How can I control my software sequencer by VCommander?
Since version 3.0, VCommander provides a way to control the most important functions of your software sequencer. All of those functions are controlled via MIDI commands so called Generic Control messages. Because these messages are standard MIDI commands, a separate MIDI input and output is needed to not mess up those control messages with the MIDI commands being used in your tracks like Note On or Controller messages. The MIDI interfaces in VCommander are so called Control in and Control out and should be connected with the control input and control output of your sequencer via virtual MIDI cable like Maple VMC. You can also find a list of used Generic Control messages inside the download package (Generic Controller VCommander.pdf). The file VCommander.xml is a pre- configured Generic Control file, loadable in Cubase or Nuendo. For more information please read section Generic Controls in your sequencer manual.
