I lost my job mid-September due to ongoing medical issues, am not eligible for unemployment due to my medical issues, and applying for social security disability takes months to a year with a lot of red tape, and little success for those of us that really need it. We also support my elderly mother, who is indigent. We are now living on one salary and trying to support two households. Obviously, this will not work. We are in need of assistance Now, not in a few – several months’ time.
