How can I configure a Cisco ASA router/firewall to route multicast traffic between two subnets?

I’m installing an application for a client with two subnets and a Cisco ASA box between the subnets. TCP traffic is working fine but I need software on both subnets to broadcast and receive UDP packets on the 228.0.0.1 multicast address. We have not managed to get this working and we believe we have opened up the necessary UDP ports in the firewall, added static routes to the machines, and enabled multicast on the router. I would appreciate any hints on diagnosing what the issue might be. The software works fine between machines on the same subnet so I’m pretty sure the Cisco configuration is the issue.
