How can I combine wedding ceremony and reception at one location? ?
It sounds like you should have plenty of space as 10 sq ft per person is recommended for sit-down dinner reception. I had about 400 people at my wedding in 2004, and we had the ceremony and reception in the same ballroom, partially because our church wasn’t big enough to accommodate 400 people and partially because we had a lot of out-of-towners, so not having to travel made one location SO MUCH easier. We had round tables set up for guest seating with the dance floor in the middle of the room and the head table on a stage in the back central portion of the ballroom. For the ceremony we had about six columns with floral arrangements on top that framed the aisle, along with an aisle runner covered in rose petals. All of the chairs at the dining tables were arranged to face the stage so that when guests came in and sat down, they didn’t have to readjust.
